Metra North America ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. For purposes of applicable laws and regulations relating to data protection and privacy, Metra North America acts as controller in respect of your personal data.

Website Data.  When you browse the Site, depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect (i) information submitted as part of completing online forms on the Site (including, but not limited to, name, email, phone, and profession); and (ii) technical information collected by cookies (see below) about the services you use and how you use them, which may include your navigation throughout the Site, and other technical and browsing preferences including your location and entry point to the Site.

Communications Data.  We may collect Personal Data that you provide when you contact Metra North America for any reason, such as to express an interest in obtaining information about our services or using a “Contact Us” form.  Such information may include contact information such as name, email, phone, and profession. 

Cookies and Advanced Tracking Technologies.  We utilize (i) third-party tracking pixels, including the LinkedIn Insight Tag, that allow us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to serve relevant ads to you on third-party platforms based on your previous interactions with our Site and (ii) Google Analytics to monitor and analyze web traffic and user behavior to improve site performance.  You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We will process Personal Data for the following purposes:

To the extent provided by the law of your jurisdiction, you may have legal rights in relation to the Personal Data about you that Metra North America holds.  These rights may include, in some circumstances:

  • Right to Object: the right to request that Metra North America restrict its processing of your Personal Data and the right to object at any time to the processing of your Personal Data. Please note that such requests may prevent us from providing services to you;

  • Right to Processing Information: the right to confirm whether we process your Personal Data and to obtain information regarding the processing of your Personal Data and access to the Personal Data about you that Metra North America holds;

  • Right to Withdraw Consent: where consent was provided for certain processing activities, the right to withdraw your consent to the collection, processing, use and/or disclosure of your Personal Data at any time;

  • Right to Access: the right to receive a copy of some Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and/or request that Metra North America transmit that data to a third party where this is technically feasible;

  • Right to Rectification: the right to request that Metra North America correct or rectify your Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  • Right to Erasure: the right to request that Metra North America delete or erase your Personal Data, subject to some exceptions. Please note that there may be circumstances where Metra North America is legally entitled to retain Personal Data regardless of any such request; 

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: the right to non-discrimination against you for exercising your legal rights in relation to your Personal Data; and

  • Right to Complain to Regulators: where applicable, the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection regulator in your jurisdiction if you think that any of your rights have been infringed by Metra North America.

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with the applicable legal or regulatory obligations (such as tax or commercial laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.  Laws or regulations may set a minimum period for which Metra NA must retain your Personal Data.

6. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your personal data, as “selling” is commonly understood. We disclose data to:

  • Affiliated Entities: Metra Aluminum and its global subsidiaries.

  • Service Providers: Trusted vendors handling our CRM, email marketing, and web hosting.

  • Regulatory Authorities: When required by law or to protect our legal rights and safety.

  • Business Transactions and Change of Control: If we sell, buy, merge, or reorganize, any business or assets, Personal Data and non-Personal Data will be disclosed or transferred as part of the transaction.

For transfers from the EEA to countries not deemed to have adequate data protection, we utilize European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your data remains protected.  We implement rigorous technical and organizational measures to ensure that international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
